Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the RaketMo mobile application ("App") or the RaketMo website at raketmo.com (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and RaketMo ("we", "us", "our"). By tapping "I Agree" during onboarding or by continuing to use the Service, you confirm your acceptance.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the Service.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.
- By registering, you represent and warrant that all information you provide is truthful, accurate, and complete.
- We reserve the right to refuse access to any person or entity at our sole discretion.
3. Accounts & Registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide a valid email address and verify it when requested.
- You may not create multiple accounts, impersonate another person, or use another person's account.
- Notify us immediately at support@raketmo.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. The RaketMo Marketplace
RaketMo is a marketplace platform that connects people who need tasks done ("Posters") with people who can do them ("Taskers" or "Raketers"). We are not a party to any agreement between Posters and Taskers.
- Posters list tasks with descriptions, budgets, locations, and deadlines.
- Taskers submit offers (bids) to complete tasks.
- Posters accept or reject offers at their sole discretion.
- RaketMo does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or timeliness of any task or service performed.
- RaketMo does not employ, endorse, or recommend any Tasker. All Taskers are independent individuals.
- Users engage with each other at their own risk and should exercise due diligence.
5. Payments, Fees & Escrow
- Payments are processed securely through our payment partner, Stripe.
- Posters pay a posting fee when listing a task and may be required to fund an escrow for the task budget.
- Escrowed funds are held until the task is marked complete by the Poster or released per our dispute process.
- Taskers receive payouts via Stripe Connect. Onboarding to Stripe Connect (including identity verification) is required to receive payouts.
- RaketMo may charge service fees on transactions. Current fee schedules are displayed at time of payment.
- All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated or required by applicable law.
- You are responsible for any taxes applicable to payments you receive through the Service.
6. User Conduct & Zero-Tolerance Policy
ZERO TOLERANCE: RaketMo enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. Violations result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban without prior notice.
You agree not to:
- Post, share, or transmit any content that is offensive, obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, threatening, harassing, or hateful.
- Engage in bullying, intimidation, stalking, or any form of abuse toward other users.
- Post fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive task listings or offers.
- Use the Service for any illegal activity, including but not limited to money laundering, drug trafficking, or solicitation of illegal services.
- Spam, phish, or distribute malware through the Service.
- Circumvent or manipulate the payment system, escrow, reviews, or ratings.
- Collect personal information of other users without their consent.
- Create tasks or listings that promote violence, self-harm, exploitation, or any activity harmful to minors.
- Use automated bots, scrapers, or other tools to access or interact with the Service.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure or other users' enjoyment of the Service.
We actively monitor and review reported content. All users can report objectionable content or abusive users using the in-app report feature. Reports are reviewed promptly by our team.
7. User Content
- You retain ownership of content you post ("User Content"), including task descriptions, photos, messages, and reviews.
- By posting User Content, you grant RaketMo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.
- You represent that you have all necessary rights to post your User Content and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.
- We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms, without notice.
- We are not responsible for User Content posted by third parties.
8. Reporting & Blocking
- Users may report tasks, profiles, messages, or reviews they believe violate these Terms using the flag icon available throughout the App.
- Users may block other users to prevent further communication and visibility.
- All reports are reviewed by our moderation team. We may take action including content removal, warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent bans.
- Filing false or malicious reports is itself a violation of these Terms.
- We are not obligated to disclose the outcome of any moderation review to the reporting or reported party.
9. Reviews & Ratings
- After task completion, both Posters and Taskers may leave reviews and star ratings.
- Reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on genuine experiences.
- Manipulating reviews (e.g., offering incentives for positive reviews, posting fake reviews, or retaliating with negative reviews) is strictly prohibited.
- We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate our guidelines.
10. Intellectual Property
- The RaketMo name, logo, trademarks, and all associated branding are the exclusive property of RaketMo.
- The App's software, design, code, UI, and underlying technology are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
- We collect information necessary to operate the marketplace, including account details, location data, device tokens, and payment information.
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
- Location data is used to match tasks with nearby Taskers and display relevant listings.
- Push notification tokens are used solely for delivering app notifications you have opted into.
12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or harmful components.
- We make no guarantees about the conduct, quality, reliability, or trustworthiness of any user.
- RaketMo is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or financial loss.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to RaketMo in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RaketMo, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the Service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any rights of another party.
- Any User Content you post or transmit through the Service.
14. Dispute Resolution
Between Users
- Disputes between Posters and Taskers (e.g., task quality, payment disagreements) should first be resolved directly between the parties via in-app messaging.
- If direct resolution fails, either party may open a formal dispute through the App. Our team will review the dispute and may mediate or make binding decisions regarding escrowed funds.
- RaketMo's dispute decisions are final with respect to platform-held funds.
Between You and RaketMo
- Any dispute between you and RaketMo shall first be addressed by contacting us at support@raketmo.com.
- If informal resolution is not reached within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue binding arbitration.
- You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which RaketMo operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@raketmo.com.
- We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
- Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including but not limited to indemnification, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) shall survive.
- Pending escrow funds at the time of termination will be handled according to our dispute resolution process.
16. Modifications to Terms
- We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time.
- Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email to the address associated with your account.
- Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
- If you do not agree with modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
